An elderly man has reportedly been subjected to enforced disappearance after being taken into custody by Pakistani military forces in Turbat, according to his family.
Relatives state that on 9 April 2026, military personnel detained Waheed Baloch, son of Karim Bakhsh, a resident of Shapuk Dandal in Kech district. They allege that he was taken from Turbat’s central market and subsequently moved to an undisclosed location.
The family further reports that since his detention, there has been no information regarding his whereabouts.
They have appealed to the authorities and human rights organisations to take notice of the incident and to ensure his safe and immediate recovery.
No official statement has been issued by Pakistani authorities regarding the case.
