The Ambassador of Afghanistan to China recently discussed the continuation of cooperation and engagement in various sectors, including clean energy, agriculture, digital systems, and smart vehicles, with Ming Shan, Director of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
According to Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, China has invited the Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Afghan businessmen to an exhibition in these sectors, which is scheduled to be held in November this year.
Fitrat confirmed that the Ambassador highlighted the excellent investment opportunities currently available in Afghanistan, noting that the support from the Islamic Emirate for businessmen and investors is stronger than ever.
“The Embassy of Afghanistan in Beijing and Afghan businessmen have been invited to the Council’s exhibition in November, which is expected to be attended by representatives from about 90 countries,” the deputy spokesman said.
In another significant development, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of the Islamic Emirate confirmed that preliminary work on the Wakhan Road, including construction, excavation, and graveling of a 50 km stretch, has been completed. The road, which connects Badakhshan to the Yarkand region of China, began construction last year, starting from the Bazai Gonbad area of Pamir.
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce and Investment has described China as a major economic partner of Afghanistan, emphasizing that the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Kabul and Beijing is crucial for the country’s economic growth and development.
