Baloch National Movement (BNM), a pro-independence political party of Balochistan, held demonstrations in Europe on the international day of enforced disappearances.

According to details received by The Balochistan Post, BNM staged demonstrations in UK and Netherlands  on 30 August.

The demonstrations were held against enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Protestors carrying banners and placards were chanting different slogans to take notice of the serious human rights violations in Balochistan.

Demonstrations in the UK were held in London and a memorandum was submitted to Prime Minister Secretariat by Baloch activists.

While speaking to TBP, BNM UK zone president Hakeem Wadhela said that the protests are aimed to highlight the dire situation in Balochistan, where thousands of Baloch students, political activists, human rights activists, lawyers and the journalists are forcefully disappeared by Pakistani army and intelligence agencies.

A students organization from Balochistan, BSO-Azad also participated in the demonstration.

BNM Netherlands zone also held demonstrations in the Netherlands, and distributed pamphlets.

BNM members carried out an awareness campaign in Germany as well and a campaign was also carried out in social media on this day, in which many human rights activists took part along with Baloch social media activists.

Every year on 30 August (the international day of the victims of enforced disappearances), Baloch nationalists, students and human rights activists run campaigns, demonstrations and protests in Balochistan and foreign countries.

They blame the Pakistani forces are responsible for enforced disappearances of Baloch political activists in Pakistani part of Balochistan.
