The Balochistan Post (TBP) has obtained pictures of Pakistani military forcing locals to vacate their village in Balochistan.

The incident has happened in Jhakaro, Awaran in Balochistan in the last few days.

Two of the three images sent to TBP by local activists show belongings of villagers being loaded onto trucks. In the final image Pakistani military trucks and vehicles can be seen escorting the loaded trucks.

Reports of forceful exodus of Baloch villages in Awaran, Mashkay and adjoining areas is being reported in local media for last few weeks, however, this is first time visual evidence has surfaced from the region.

According to local sources, locals are threatened to leave their remote villages and settle near Army camps. If the orders are not obliged, the villagers are forced into trucks and moved to Army camps.

Local political groups and campaign groups allege that the act is carried out to use local villagers as human shields against attacks by Baloch armed groups, which have waged a war against Pakistani state for ‘independence of Balochistan’.

There are also accusations that the plan is part of foiling boycott of upcoming general elections. independence Baloch parties have announced complete boycott of Pakistani general elections.
