A “pro-independence” Baloch Armed group, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), through its media channel Hakkal, has released an infographic and a detailed report outlining the group’s claimed military activities over the past six months.
According to the report, the BLA claims to have carried out 369 military operations, resulting in the deaths of 884 personnel belonging to the Pakistani military, intelligence agencies, and individuals it describes as local collaborators.
The report states that the BLA conducted coordinated operations across Balochistan, from the coastal belt to mountainous regions and urban centers. It claims the group expanded both the geographical scope and operational intensity of its campaign under what it describes as a structured military strategy and organizational policy.
According to the report, BLA fighters targeted Pakistani military garrisons, bases, and camps during the reporting period. It further stated that the group carried out attacks against personnel of Pakistani intelligence agencies, accusing them of direct involvement in operations against the Baloch population.
The report claims that BLA fighters breached heavily fortified security positions during several operations, killing dozens of military personnel and restricting the movement of Pakistani forces. It also states that the group implemented what it describes as an “economic blockade” strategy by targeting supply routes used by the Pakistani state and companies it alleges are involved in the exploitation of Balochistan’s natural resources.
According to the report, the BLA claims that 884 personnel were killed during the six-month period, including 43 individuals identified by the group as collaborators with Pakistani forces. It further claims that more than 248 military personnel and associated individuals were wounded in the reported attacks.
The report also claims that BLA fighters seized 277 modern weapons and large quantities of military equipment during various operations. It alleges that the group temporarily gained control of 71 strategic locations, including military camps, police and Levies stations, security checkpoints, alleged death squad hideouts, and communication infrastructure. It further claims that these operations enabled the group to establish temporary control over 14 towns simultaneously.
According to the report, the BLA established road blockades at more than 122 locations along major highways as part of its stated economic blockade campaign. It also claims responsibility for destroying 23 key bridges and conducting 16 raid-style operations, during which it says 125 individuals, including members of Pakistani forces and alleged collaborators, were taken into custody.
The report further states that the group carried out 125 improvised explosive device (IED) and landmine attacks targeting Pakistani military vehicles and convoys. It claims these attacks destroyed 305 vehicles linked to the military and state economic infrastructure, 22 quadcopters, 10 surveillance cameras, 15 transmission lines and observation towers, 25 railway tracks, and two trains.
According to the report, the BLA’s suicide unit, the Majeed Brigade, conducted 15 suicide attacks at different locations, during which 52 members of the unit were killed. It further states that the Fateh Squad carried out 12 operations, the Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) conducted 15 operations, the Qahar Wing conducted four operations, and the Hamal Maritime Defense Force (HMDF) carried out one operation. The report also claims that the BLA’s intelligence wing, ZIRAB, played a central role in planning and facilitating 19 intelligence-based operations.
Pakistani authorities have not publicly confirmed the casualty figures or operational claims made by the BLA.
