The United Baloch Army (UBA) has claimed responsibility for destroying a bridge at Sabri on Sanni Road near Dhadar in Balochistan’s Kachhi district.
In a statement issued to the media, UBA spokesperson Mazar Baloch said the group’s fighters targeted the bridge with explosives at around 7:30pm on 8 August, rendering it completely unusable.
The spokesperson said the attack had severely disrupted what he described as the “enemy’s logistics and movement” in the area.
According to the statement, the bridge was used daily by the Pakistani military to transport military supplies and for operational purposes.
Mazar Baloch said the route had now been completely severed.
He said such attacks would continue “until the establishment of an independent Balochistan.”
Pakistani authorities had not issued a statement on the UBA claim at the time of publication.
