The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released a video purportedly showing its attack on a Pakistani military camp in Jiwani, Gwadar district, carried out on 3 July.
The nine-minute video depicts the planning and execution of the assault, which the group says targeted a joint Pakistan Coast Guards and Pakistan Army facility. Footage appears to have been recorded using drones and body-mounted cameras.
According to the video, BLA members prepared for the operation by creating a model of the camp layout on the ground. One sequence shows a female fighter briefing other participants involved in the attack.
The footage also shows members of the group’s Majeed Brigade loading explosives into a Mazda truck. The BLA identifies the driver as Ataullah, also known as Ajmal, whom it describes as a fidayee.
The video then shows the vehicle approaching the camp before a large explosion occurs inside the facility. The BLA claims the truck was carrying several tonnes of explosives and that the blast destroyed the camp.
Subsequent footage shows armed fighters advancing towards the site and opening fire. The group claims the assault continued after the initial explosion and targeted surviving personnel near the compound.
The video also appears to show female fighters participating in the operation.
The attack took place on 3 July in the Panwan area of Jiwani. At the time, reports indicated that a large explosion had struck a security camp, followed by an armed assault. Pakistani authorities have acknowledged the incident but have not publicly confirmed the casualty figures claimed by the BLA.
