A Pakistani military drone strike destroyed a farmer’s house in the Lijje area of Kharan in Balochistan, local sources told The Balochistan Post.
The sources said the strike hit the house in a populated area, destroying the building but causing no casualties.
Pakistani authorities had not commented on the reported strike at the time of publication.
The incident comes amid several recent reports of civilian casualties and damage to homes and livestock during military operations and aerial attacks in Balochistan.
Four civilians were killed and others injured in Wadh, Khuzdar, after Frontier Corps personnel reportedly opened fire during a raid on a home on the night of Sept. 10. A 13-year-old boy was killed separately in bombing in Zehri.
Four civilians, including a six-year-old girl, were killed on Sept. 8 following reported FC shelling on homes in Kardigap, Mastung.
On Aug. 21, four orchard workers were killed and three others injured in a reported drone strike in the Gaith area of Khadkocha, Mastung.
More than 20 people, including women and children, were killed or injured on Aug. 12 in Gidar Goandhan, Surab, in a reported Pakistani airstrike on residential areas.
