The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of operations carried out in different parts of Balochistan, including attacks on Pakistani military positions, highway checkpoints and the seizure of weapons from forces’ personnel.

In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the group’s fighters established a checkpoint on the main highway in the Koh Dagar area of Mand on 11 September 2026, where vehicles were stopped and searched. He said the purpose of the operation was to maintain the organisation’s influence in the area and monitor the movement of Pakistani forces and their local facilitators.

The spokesperson said that on 10 September, BLF fighters carried out an ambush in the Tatgar area of Yakmach, Kharan, targeting a convoy of Pakistani military personnel with heavy and automatic weapons. According to the BLF, two buses transporting Pakistani personnel were hit during the attack, resulting in the deaths of six military personnel and injuries to several others.

The group claimed that following the attack, Pakistani forces launched an operation in the Hermag desert area in an attempt to pursue the attackers, but were forced to retreat after coming under fire.

Major Gwahram Baloch also said that BLF fighters established another checkpoint on the main highway between Nasirabad and Nodiz in Kech on the same day, where vehicles were searched. He alleged that Pakistani forces later arrived at the location with military convoys and quadcopters and carried out aerial firing after the fighters had left the area.

The BLF further claimed responsibility for attacks on Pakistani military camps in Dil Kik, Zamuran, and Rodbun, Tump. According to the statement, the camps were targeted with heavy weapons, grenade launchers and automatic firearms, causing casualties and material losses.

In a separate incident, the group said its fighters established a checkpoint in the Khairabad area of Turbat on 9 September and stopped the official vehicle of the Assistant Commissioner of Tump. The BLF claimed that the official was travelling in a separate vehicle and escaped the scene, while the weapons and equipment of his security guards were seized.

The statement also referred to an attack carried out on 1 September in the Pattok area of Dasht, where a military patrol travelling towards a security outpost was reportedly targeted. The BLF claimed that one military vehicle was damaged and that several personnel were killed or injured.

The organisation said it accepts responsibility for all of the reported operations and the losses it claims to have inflicted on Pakistani forces.

Pakistani authorities have not immediately commented on the BLF’s claims.
