The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said on Sunday it carried out 14 attacks across multiple districts of Balochistan between March 19 and March 28, claiming that the operations “resulted in the deaths of 18 personnel of the occupying Pakistani army and left several others injured.”

In a media statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group’s fighters had conducted “14 diverse operations” in Washuk, Kharan, Kalat, Mastung, Surab, Khuzdar, Quetta, Turbat and Barkhan.

He said BLA fighters targeted military camps, convoys and checkpoints, adding that they “successfully took control of various check posts, detained personnel, and confiscated weapons and military equipment.”

He added that during these operations, two BLA fighters were killed in what the group described as “direct clashes with the occupying forces.”

Detail of the operations

According to the statement, on March 19, BLA fighters attacked a military camp along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route in Washuk using rockets and other weapons, claiming to have inflicted “significant personnel and material losses on the enemy.”

It said a nearby Levies post was seized, where fighters “detained the personnel, and seized their weapons,” before later releasing them.

The group said that on the same day, a hideout of an armed group referred to as a “death squad” in the Brashonki area of Kharan was targeted, claiming the group “suffered heavy losses.”

It further claimed that in Kalat, foot soldiers were forced to retreat after coming under attack, while in Mastung an ambush at Killi Pasund Khan in the Gurgina area resulted in “two vehicles of the occupying army” being hit, causing fatalities and injuries. The group added that a quadcopter deployed by the military was shot down during the clash.

The BLA said that on March 20, its fighters seized a customs post in Surab and later targeted advancing forces.

It said that “eight personnel of the occupying army were killed and many others injured” in an ambush on a convoy in Anjeera, Zehri, adding that “the retreating forces fled the site, leaving behind the bodies of their dead soldiers.”

The group also claimed that a military vehicle was targeted with a remote-controlled IED in the Bulbul area of Zehri, Khuzdar.

The statement said that on Eid-ul-Fitr, fighters took control of the Lejay area in Kharan and addressed the public.

On March 23, the group claimed an IED attack in Manguchar “killed all three personnel” of a bomb disposal squad, while an armoured vehicle was later targeted with rockets.

On March 26, it said an IED attack in the Zarghun area near Quetta resulted in two deaths and one critical injury.

On March 27, the group claimed grenade launcher attacks on a military post in Turbat, causing casualties and material damage.

On March 28, the BLA said it attacked a military post in Barkhan, killing one soldier, while also taking control of the Quetta-Karachi highway in Surab and conducting “snap-checking for several hours.”

The statement added that fighters lured Pakistani personnel into a trap in the Gidar area of Surab, where grenades were used, injuring two personnel, and claimed that “an ISI agent was identified and neutralized” during the operation.

Two BLA fighters killed

According to the statement, two BLA fighters were killed during the operations, identified as Abdullah Rodeni Baloch, also known as Sarban, and Yaqoob Baloch alias Dura.

The group said Abdullah Rodeni Baloch, a resident of Khudabadan in Panjgur, “was a graduate in BS English Literature from the University of Balochistan” and had joined the organisation as an urban guerrilla in May 2023 before moving to the mountainous front in July 2025.

It said he was killed on March 19 during clashes in the Lejay area of Kharan.

The statement said Yaqoob Baloch, a resident of Dasht in Turbat, had joined the group in 2024 and had been active in operations in Shoorparod, Kalat and Mastung.

It added that he “succumbed to his injuries” after being “severely wounded during the earlier clashes” in Mastung.
