Armed clashes and militant activity were reported from two separate areas of Balochistan on Sunday, resulting in casualties among Pakistan military forces and damage to public property.
According to a statement attributed to the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, BLF fighters carried out an ambush on a convoy of the Pakistani military in the Jhaoo area of Awaran district on 3 November 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m. The spokesperson claimed that the convoy, consisting of three vehicles, was attacked with heavy and modern weaponry, leading to the deaths of eleven soldiers and injuries to six others, including an officer identified as Captain Artaza.
The statement further alleged that the assault followed a military operation in the Patki area of Jhaoo and the killing of a civilian named Hamza Baloch. The BLF claimed responsibility for the attack, asserting that its fighters safely returned to their positions after the operation. Pakistani authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the incident, and the group’s claims could not be independently verified.
Separately, in the Kachhi district’s Khattan area, unidentified armed men attacked a local police station. According to sources, the assailants, armed with modern weapons, seized official firearms from the premises before setting fire to records and other materials. Limited personnel were present at the time, and no injuries were reported among the police. No group has claimed responsibility for the latter attack.
Both incidents highlight the continuing security challenges in Balochistan, where attacks on Pakistani forces and state installations by militant groups have persisted amid ongoing tensions in the region.
