Three Baloch students from Balochistan were allegedly forcibly disappeared after being detained by Pakistan Rangers in Karachi on 23 August 2026, according to sources.
The students have been identified as Abdul Qadeer and Zubair Ahmed, both residents of Siahozai, Basima, and Saifuddin, a resident of Killi Sarawan, Kharan. According to sources, the three were detained by the Pakistan Rangers in Karachi and subsequently disappeared.
Their family members have not received any information about their whereabouts, leaving their families deeply concerned. The families have called for immediate information about the missing students and demanded that “if they face any allegations, they be presented before a court in accordance with the law.”
The source noted that reports of the enforced disappearances of Baloch students and young people have increased this year across Balochistan, Karachi and Punjab. Such cases have caused significant psychological distress among Baloch students and their families and have also affected students’ education and academic futures, sources and concerned families stated.
