The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army has announced that security forces have killed 43 militants in various operations conducted in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since December 9th.

According to the ISPR, a recent operation in Lakki Marwat on the night of December 12th and 13th resulted in the killing of six militants during a raid on a militant hideout.

Additionally, it claimed that on December 13th, security forces carried out operations in Musakhel and Panjgur, Balochistan, leading to the killings of 10 militants.

The ISPR claims that a total of 25 militants have been killed in Balochistan since December 9th. It is important to note that these claims have not been independently verified.

Additionally, the Ministry of Interior has revealed that 2,801 intelligence operations were conducted between January and October 2024, resulting in the killing of 341 militants. Addressing the deteriorating law and order situation, the ministry reported 1,566 attack incidents during the 10-month period.

According to the Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa witnessed the highest number of incidents with 948, followed by Balochistan with 532, Sindh with 24, Punjab with 24, Islamabad with 10, and Gilgit-Baltistan with 2. These incidents resulted in the killings of 924 individuals, including 573 law enforcement personnel, and injuries to 2,121 civilians. Additionally, 351 civilians were killed, and 768 were injured. The data suggests that law enforcement agencies were the primary targets of militant attacks across the country during this period.
