Six people, including an elderly man, have been reported forcibly disappeared in Balochistan, while 10 previously missing persons have returned home after months of disappearance.
The new cases were reported from Gwadar, Kech and Chagai districts, as families and local sources also reported raids, property damage and alleged mistreatment of women and children during operations in parts of Kech.
According to local sources, an elderly man identified as Jam Abdullah, son of Jam Moosa and a resident of Sholig in Dasht, Kech district, was allegedly detained by Pakistani forces near the Door checkpoint in Gwadar on June 27. His whereabouts have remained unknown since.
Local reports said Jam Abdullah’s brother, Huda Dad, had died of a heart attack during a previous operation involving Pakistani forces.
Four more men were reportedly detained during a late-night operation in Pasni, Gwadar district, and subsequently disappeared. Two of them were identified as brothers Rahim Lal and Amir Lal, sons of Lal Bakhsh, while the identities of the other two could not be confirmed.

Local sources alleged that armed men accompanying Pakistani forces also took part in the Pasni operation, describing them as members of a government-backed militia locally referred to as a “death squad”.
In Chagai, Hamal Khan, son of Lowang Khan and a resident of Killi Lashkar, has remained missing since his alleged detention by Pakistani forces in December 2025.

Separately, local sources said Pakistani forces carried out late-night raids in Muhammadabad, Mehnaz and Buleda in Kech district, adding that the homes of Naseem, son of Asmi, Liaquat, son of Mullah Hassan, and several other residents were searched.
Sources alleged that household property, including refrigerators, motorcycles, mobile phones, washing machines, jewellery, furniture, women’s clothing, doors and other valuables, was damaged or taken away. They further alleged that women and children were subjected to intimidation and physical abuse.
Meanwhile, 10 previously disappeared individuals were reportedly released in Khuzdar, Quetta, Noshki and Surab between June 18 and June 25 after months of disappearance.
Those released were identified as Zubair Baloch, Adil Baloch, Ali Ahmed Reki, Tayyab Baloch, Allah Nazar, Ali Muhammad, Saadullah Baloch, Saddam Baloch, Haji Ghulam Baloch and another individual whose identity could not be confirmed.
Pakistani authorities had not issued a statement regarding the reported disappearances, releases or raids at the time of publication.
Enforced disappearances and military operations have remained a longstanding human rights concern in Balochistan. Families of missing persons and local rights groups say new cases continue to be reported from different parts of the region.
