Armed individuals reportedly established checkpoints on major roads in the districts of Chagai and Mastung, while separate attacks were reported against Pakistani forces’ convoys in Turbat and Khadkocha, according to local sources.
In Chagai district, armed individuals allegedly set up checkpoints in the Chahter Bazaar area of Dalbandin on Friday night and carried out snap checks of vehicles travelling along the highway. Local sources said the checking process continued for more than four hours before the individuals left the area.
A similar incident was reported on the same day in the Dasht Pengo area of Mastung district, where armed individuals reportedly established checkpoints on the main road and conducted vehicle checks.
Authorities have not yet issued any official statement regarding either of the reported road blockades.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, unidentified armed men reportedly targeted a convoy of Pakistani forces in the Hairabad area of Turbat. According to sources, the convoy consisted of four vehicles.
Following the attack, additional personnel were reportedly deployed to the area, while helicopter activity was observed overhead. Sources claimed that the attack resulted in casualties among Pakistani forces, although the nature and extent of the reported losses could not be independently verified.
No official statement has been issued regarding the incident, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Another attack on a convoy of Pakistani forces was reported in the Garro area of Khadkocha, Mastung district. The incident occurred amid ongoing tensions in Khadkocha and surrounding areas, where security operations and restrictions have been reported in recent weeks.
The latest attack follows a series of incidents in the area. On 14 August, the convoy of Balochistan’s Interior Minister Ziaullah Langove was targeted in Khadkocha. The minister was not injured, though six people, including police personnel accompanying the convoy, were reported wounded.
Previously, another attack was also reported on 22 August in which a convoy of Pakistani forces was reportedly targeted in Khadkocha. According to those reports, an armoured vehicle was destroyed and several personnel were killed or injured.

Khadkocha is considered a strategically significant area of Mastung district due to its proximity to the Quetta-Karachi highway, a key route connecting different parts of Balochistan. Attacks targeting convoys and vehicles on or near the highway have been reported on multiple occasions in recent years.
Following the latest incident, authorities reportedly temporarily closed the highway and increased security measures in the area.
Officials have not yet released a detailed statement regarding the attacks in Turbat or Khadkocha.
