Three people, including two 15-year-old boys, have allegedly been forcibly disappeared in Balochistan’s Quetta and Panjgur districts, while the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) has called for the recovery of four other missing men.
According to reports, 15-year-old student Yahya Baloch, son of Pir Muhammad, was forcibly disappeared from his home in Killi Qambarani, on Qambrani Road in Quetta, at around 3 a.m. on October 27, 2026. Personnel of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI) and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have been accused of involvement in his disappearance.
In a separate incident in Panjgur district, 20-year-old Brahim Baloch, son of Aziz Baloch, and 15-year-old Babu Baloch, son of Naseer Ahmed, were allegedly forcibly disappeared from the Parom area at around 10 p.m. on September 1, 2026.
According to sources, members of a government-backed armed group locally referred to as a “death squad” detained Brahim and Babu and handed them over to the Frontier Corps (FC). Their whereabouts have remained unknown since then.
Meanwhile, the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) protest camp against enforced disappearances continued outside the Quetta Press Club for the 6,404th day on Friday, as family members of missing men contacted the organisation and appealed for their recovery.
The family of Muhammad Rafiq, son of Bahadeen, told the VBMP that he had been forcibly disappeared from Awaran district on August 22, 2026. They said no information regarding his whereabouts had been provided since his disappearance.
The families of Takri Wahid Kurd and Dad Muhammad Kurd also informed the organisation that the two brothers had been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces from the Maro area of Mastung district on June 2, 2010.
According to their family members, their cases had been heard by the judiciary and the relevant commission, where it emerged that personnel of state institutions had taken the brothers into custody. Despite this, they said, the two men had yet to be recovered and their families continued to receive no information about their fate or whereabouts.
Separately, Sana Baloch told the VBMP that her brother, Zafar Baloch, had been detained by CTD personnel and officials of other agencies from the Kirani Road area of Quetta on October 16 and transferred to an undisclosed location.
He said Zafar had previously been subjected to enforced disappearance for four years and was released in 2018.
VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch called on the government to ensure the safe recovery of Muhammad Rafiq, Takri Wahid Kurd, Dad Muhammad Kurd and Zafar Baloch, along with all other missing persons.
He said that if any of the missing men faced allegations, they should be presented before the courts in accordance with the country’s laws, and their families should be informed of their whereabouts.
