Pakistani forces and members of alleged state-backed armed groups have been targeted in a wave of attacks across Balochistan, with casualties reported in several locations, local sources said.
Fighters ambushed a Pakistani forces convoy near Sajid in Basima on Wednesday, causing casualties and severely damaging two vehicles, according to the sources. They said fighting continued for more than two hours, with helicopters later arriving to reinforce the forces.
Another convoy came under attack in Panjgur’s Gowargo area that day as three forces vehicles passed through the area.
Authorities had not released casualty details from either attack.
Meanwhile, fighters targeted members of an armed group in Turbat’s Nodiz area on Thursday morning.
Local sources described the group as a Pakistani military-backed “death squad” and said gunfire continued for an extended period, although no details of casualties had emerged.
The attacks followed prolonged clashes in Khuzdar’s Karkh area on Monday, where fighters targeted a convoy of around 30 vehicles belonging to the Pakistani army, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF).
According to local reports, more than 15 Pakistani personnel were killed or wounded during the fighting, while two fighters were also killed.
An attack on Pakistani forces in Nushki’s Ahmad Wal area on Monday also reportedly caused casualties, while a convoy was targeted in Turbat’s Giben area.
Female Fighters Take Part in Buleda Attacks
Local sources in Buleda said female and male fighters attacked a Pakistani military camp in Alandur, ambushed a four-vehicle convoy and established roadblocks at several locations around Minaz.
Heavy gunfire and explosions were heard during the attacks, the sources said, adding that further clashes took place when Pakistani forces attempted to advance into the area. They reported casualties in the convoy attack but gave no figures.
The fighters stopped and inspected vehicles and patrolled the area. Videos also circulated on social media purportedly showing female and male fighters at the roadblocks and speaking to local residents.
Pakistani authorities, meanwhile, acknowledged the roadblocks and said one suspected fighter had been killed during a response operation.
Former Afghan Commander Wounded in Dalbandin
Reports from Dalbandin said an explosion at Koh-e-Taran seriously wounded Mateen Agha, a commander under Afghanistan’s former government, and killed two members of the former Afghan forces.
Journalist Bahot Baloch reported the incident, sharing photographs of Agha receiving treatment in hospital and of the scene.

Local sources also reported the death of Shahu, whom they described as a prominent member of a Pakistani government-backed armed group. It was unclear whether he was included in the reported toll of two deaths.
Separately, armed men attacked a company carrying out road construction near Dera Murad Jamali on Tuesday night and abducted two labourers, according to police.
Construction work was halted following the incident. Police cordoned off the area and began efforts to recover the labourers and locate the kidnappers.
