The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for an armed attack on Pakistani military forces in the Kolwah region and announced the killing of an individual it accused of spying for the army, according to a statement issued by the group’s spokesperson.
In a media statement, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said that on the evening of December 23, at around 5:30 pm, BLF fighters targeted Pakistani military personnel in the Kanichi area of Kolwah. He said the attack took place as the forces were returning to their main camp following search operations in nearby areas.
According to the statement, BLF fighters used heavy weapons during the assault, which reportedly caused “severe damage” to both military personnel and their vehicles. The spokesperson said the clash continued for approximately half an hour.
In the same statement, the BLF also detailed the killing of an individual it accused of working as an informant for the Pakistani military. Major Gwahram Baloch said that on November 12, 2025, BLF fighters detained a man identified as Zahid s/o Nodi, a resident of Sandam in the Gishkore area, from the Hor locality, acting on information provided by the group’s intelligence wing.
He said the detainee was interrogated by the organization’s investigative team and, during questioning, allegedly confessed to spying for the Pakistani army since August 2024. According to the BLF, the man admitted to participating on five occasions in military checkpoints established against BLF fighters in different locations.
The spokesperson claimed that after the allegations were confirmed, the group’s internal “justice institution” sentenced Zahid Nodi to death. He said the sentence was carried out on the evening of December 22 at around 6:30 pm in the Garadi area of Gishkore, where the man was killed.
Major Gwahram Baloch further stated that the BLF would carry out additional actions against what it described as “enemy elements” based on information obtained during the interrogation.
The statement also alleged that in the Kolwah region, individuals are being recruited and organized as informers and death squad members to counter the Baloch independence movement, under the supervision of a person identified as Jeeyand Sajidi.
The BLF spokesperson concluded by reiterating that the organization accepts responsibility for the killing of Pakistani military personnel and members of what it described as death squads in the Kolwah area.
