Pakistani forces allegedly forcibly disappeared a Baloch poet following his arrest in Kech district of Balochistan on Thursday.

According to reports, the cases of enforced disappearances intensify as poet Qasim, a resident of Dasht Chat goes missing after being captured by Pakistani forces in Turbat, the central city of Kech.

It has been reported that Qasim, a young poet of the Balochi language, has been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces after being arrested in a raid near the Dasht Bahot Chat area. According to relatives, Qasim was apprehended and subsequently vanished after being taken into custody at the Civil Hospital.

This incident unfolds against the backdrop of ongoing protests against enforced disappearances in Balochistan, where a wave of demonstrations has surged in recent months. Protesters are demanding an end to the forced disappearances affecting the entire region, which has witnessed a growing number of cases on a daily basis.

The demonstrators in Balochistan continue to voice their concerns against the relentless occurrence of enforced disappearances, urging the authorities to take immediate measures to curb these violations of human rights.
