Two Baloch youths reportedly forcibly disappeared from the Kech district of Balochistan, on Thursday.

According to reports, on Thursday night, a large number of Pakistani forces raided different houses in Bulaida Bit and detained two young men named Hafeezullah s/o Abdul Hameed, and Ismail s/o Shahi Dad, who said be close relatives.

It is noteworthy that this is the second incident of enforced disappearances in the last two days in the Kech district. Before this, a Balochi language poet Qasim reportedly went missing from the Turbat city of Kech district. After his alleged arrest by Pakistani security forces.

The Balochistan Post (TBP) has received reports of enforced disappearances of 16 people only this month from different areas of Balochistan, who belong to the following cities:
2 individuals from Quetta and Gwadar
9 from Kech
2 from Awaran
1 from Jafarabad
2 from Jhal Magsi

While four previously forcibly disappeared individuals were also recovered.

On the other hand, tomorrow January 27, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and the families of the enforced disappeared victims will hold a public gathering on a large scale in Quetta city against the enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of Baloch people.

BYC and other rights organizations allege that Pakistan’s military institutions are behind the extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances of innocent people in Balochistan and the state’s mainstream parties, government, judiciary, and media are backing these crimes, which is a serious violation of civil rights.
