The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) released a video on Sunday purporting to show ambushes and explosive attacks on Pakistani forces across Balochistan in August and September.
The eight-minute video, published by the group’s official channel Hakkal, includes footage of military convoys and armoured vehicles being targeted with heavy weapons and improvised explosive devices, as well as attacks on personnel travelling on motorcycles.
A sequence from Khadkocha shows an explosion destroying an armoured vehicle. A helicopter is then seen flying over the area, with a fighter firing a machine gun at it.
The BLA said the attacks took place between August 4 and September 16. The footage covers Bela, Kalat, Surab, Mastung, Zamuran, Killa Abdullah, Khadkocha and Kolwah.
The release comes amid sustained BLA operations across Balochistan.
The group said it carried out 87 operations in September, claiming that 133 Pakistani military personnel and people it described as members or operatives of state-backed networks were killed. It also reported the deaths of 33 of its own fighters in clashes and drone strikes.
According to the group, its September operations also included prolonged highway blockades, temporary control of roads and government installations, destruction of bridges and surveillance infrastructure, and attacks on commercial traffic and a lithium extraction project under what it calls its “economic blockade”.
