Pakistani forces once again arrested a leader of the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) Ali Wazir from North Waziristan on Monday.

According to reports, the leader of the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) and member of Pakistan’s National Assembly, Ali Wazir, was taken into custody by Pakistani forces at the Dumdel check post in North Waziristan when he was traveling towards Razmal from Miranshah and he was handed over to police on Monday.

Speaking on the incident, MNA Mohsin Dawar in the Pakistan National Assembly, criticized the arresst of the MNA and demanded his immediate release.

It should be mentioned that the Pashtun leader was recently released after spending 26 months in prison in several cases. He was arrested in December 2020 and released in February 2023.

PTM leaders accuse the Pakistani military of using various tactics including bogus cases against PTM leaders and members to silence their critical voice against the military violence.
