The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) continues its protest in Quetta against rampant “enforced disappearance” in Balochistan and for the safe recovery of Baloch missing persons.

The mother of a missing victim visited the camp and demanded the safe recovery of her son. She said Pakistani forces detained her son Javed Shams on August 31, 2021, from Quetta’s Kechi Beg area and moved him to an unknown location. His whereabouts and condition remain unknown.

She further said that the security personnel dragged her son in before her eyes. She said her daughter has been appearing before the missing persons’ commission for the safe recovery of her brother, but he has not been released.

She demanded the authorities provide information regarding her son’s well-being and whereabouts. She also called for his immediate safe release.

She further said that if her son has done anything against the law, he should be produced before the court and prosecuted according to the law. She said that abducting him like that was an injustice to her and her family.

She appealed to the human rights organizations to play their role in the safe recovery of her son and help her get rid of the agony of the long wait.
