A police mobile carrying a police ASI and other personnel came under a sudden attack in the Lakki Marwat on Wednesday morning.

As per reports, six police personnel including an Assistant Sub-Inspector has been reportedly killed in the ambush by unidentified armed persons. Soon after the attack, the police and other law-enforcement officials reached the point and launched a search operation in the area for the assailants.

While on the other hand, Mohammad Khorasani, spokesperson for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) taking responsibility for the attack stated that “our fighters ambushed a police convoy today in Shahab Khel village of Lakki Marwat when they were coming for a purpose of a raid in which 6 police personnel were killed.”

The spokesperson further said that, in the attack, their fighters managed to “confiscate” five machine guns, a huge round of bullets, and many other pieces of equipment and they managed to reach their safe hideouts.
