A Pakistani forces convoy was ambushed in Kalat’s Manguchar area on Monday, with local sources reporting casualties, while armed fighters blocked the Quetta–Taftan highway and set a government office on fire in Chagai.
Armed fighters targeted the convoy, comprising several small and large vehicles, at Soro in Manguchar, sources said, adding that one vehicle fell from a bridge during the ambush and several personnel were killed or wounded.
The number of casualties could not be immediately confirmed.
In Chagai, local sources said a large number of fighters, including women, entered Yakmach and established a blockade on the Quetta–Taftan highway. They also attacked the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office and set it on fire.

No casualties were reported in Yakmach, and authorities had yet to comment on the incident.
Earlier on Monday, an explosion targeted Pakistani forces in the Hokani area of Parom, Panjgur, killing Lance Naik Rafiq of SOW 169 Wing and seriously injuring Lance Naik Mubeen.
No group had claimed responsibility for the attacks or the highway blockade at the time of reporting.
