At least 10 people were injured in a blast at Samungli road in Quetta, on Wednesday.

According to police reports, unidentified miscreants hurled a hand grenade at labourers working on a bridge at Samungali Road in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan.

According to the initial police reports, the blast wounded seven people including five labourers. Later Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani said that injured are ten, seven of the injured are under treatment at Bolan Medical College while the remaining are being treated at Civil Hospital,”

“After the attack the area has been cordoned off but no arrests have been made yet,” Police said. 

The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Jam Kamal has also condemned the incident and directed that those injured in the incident be provided medical treatment. 

In the past, activities and presence of multiple armed groups have been reported in Quetta, which includes religious extremists and pro-independence insurgents. However, no group has claimed the responsibility for Today’s attack yet.
