Unknown assailants opened fire on a police convoy last night in Mangoli town of Dera Allah Yar
 
According to the details received by the Balochistan Post, last night, unknown armed men opened fire on police vehicles when they were on regular patrol in Mangoli town of Dera Allah Yar.
 
Dera Allah Yar is the headquarter of Jaffar Abad district in Balochistan, wherein, time and again, police and other security forces have been attacked by Baloch armed groups.
 
The attack was carried out last night when the police convoy was on their regular patrol near ‘Sim Shaakh’ in Mangoli town of DA Yar.
 
According to the sources, the exchange of fire continued until late at night, and as par hospital sources, injured policemen were brought there for treatment. However, number of injured policemen and their identification could not be ascertained immediately.
 
Whereas, Baloch Republican Guards(BRG), a Baloch armed group claimed the responsibility for the attack.
 
Dostain Baloch, a spokesperson for BRG, said that two policemen were injured in the attack and a vehicle was destroyed.
 
“Police are handing over innocent Baloch men to Pakistan army, for that, we have attacked them before and we warn them again”, said Dostain Baloch.
