Two persons have forcibly been disappeared from different areas of Makuran in Balochistan.

According to local TBP correspondents, one person was arrested taken away from Zamuran, whereas, the other from an area near Turbat.

Pakistani forces arrested a youth identified as Abdullah s/o Ghulam Rasool from Novano Bazar in Zamuran. He was later moved to an undisclosed location.

In another incident, a person identified as Jalal s/o Jumma Khan from Tejaban near Turbat.

It is the second time Jalal has gone missing. On 27 September 2016 Jalal was taken away by Pakistani forces and kept in incommunicado detention for almost two years until he was released on 10 August 2018.

However, his freedom only lasted for two months as he has been disappeared again.

Balochistan is plagued by the enforced disappearances of Baloch youth and activists. However, recently instances of ‘women and children abductions’ have also been reported.

International campaign groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International accuse Pakistani security forces as the perpetrators of ‘illegal abductions in Balochistan’.
