Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for attack on Pakistani Army held festival titled Makuran Mela in Turbat town today.

In a statement released to media a while ago, Jeehand Baloch, spokesman of BLA has said that fighters from BLA carried out a long-range rocket attack on the festival as a warning.

“We intentionally avoided hitting the festival grounds as we wanted to relay a warning to civilians to avoid taking part in such events,” BLA said in the statement.

“Pakistani Army on one hand kills Baloch civilians and destroys Baloch villages but on other hand holds so-called festivals. BLA will continue to target such festivals in future too,” BLA spokesman added.

Hakkal releases video footage:

Hakkal, the media house of Baloch Liberation Army, has released video footage of different attacks carried out against Pakistani Forces.

The video, which was published on BLA’s official website and social media handles, contains footage of at least 6 different attacks.

The 7 minute 30 seconds long video starts with large number of BLA fighters marching on snow-covered mountains. It is not clear where the video was filmed. The video is graphic and contains footage of dead bodies, therefore, TBP advises viewers discretion.

It then follows with the footage of attack on Pakistani forces that was carried out on 25th December 2017. In this attack, multiple rockets were launched at Pakistani forces camp after which fierce battle had taken place between the two sides.

The video also contains footage of attack on National Logistic Cell camps, which was carried out in December last year. The NLC employees were busy in restoration works on Sibi-Harnai railway track, when unidentified armed men had opened fire and killed three of them in Nakis area. Another worker had sustained injuries in the attack. The bodies of three employees can be seen in the footage released by BLA today.

One of the footages in the video is of IED attack on Pakistani forces in Sangaan near Sibbi, which was carried out in November, last year. Four personnel had been killed, whereas, several others had received critical injuries when a powerful improvised explosive device (IED) went off near a convoy of Pakistani forces in Sangan near Sibbi in November, 2017.

There has been considerable increase in activities of BLA, BLF and other armed organisations in last few months.
