A series of security-related incidents were reported across several districts of Balochistan over the past two days, including an exchange of fire in Dera Bugti, an explosion in Turbat, reported attacks on Pakistani military and mineral transporting vehicles in Nushki and Sibi, and separate attacks targeting Pakistani security forces in Mastung.
Two FC Personnel Injured in Dera Bugti Exchange of Fire
In Dera Bugti district, two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were injured during an exchange of fire with unidentified armed men near Mandir Colony on the Sui–Rang Road.
According to local sources, the incident occurred when armed individuals and FC personnel reportedly came face to face in the area, leading to a gun battle between the two sides.
Sources said two FC personnel sustained injuries during the exchange, with one reportedly in critical condition. The injured were transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Following the incident, security forces launched a search operation in the area. However, the armed men were reported to have left the scene before forces arrived.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and authorities have not released further details.
Explosion Targets Security Post in Turbat
In a separate incident, an explosion targeted a Pakistani security forces post near Ghulam Nabi Chowk on Turbat’s main highway.
According to police, two civilians passing through the area were injured in the blast and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The injured were identified as Arman, son of Mukhtar, and Shamsher Khan.
Authorities have not provided any information regarding possible casualties or damage among security personnel stationed at the post.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Attacks Reported on Military Convoy and Vehicles in Nushki
Meanwhile, multiple attacks were reported in Nushki district.
According to local sources, armed men attacked buses carrying Pakistani military personnel and accompanying security vehicles near the Ahmad Wal railway crossing on Monday.
Sources claimed that one of the buses came under direct fire and alleged that casualties may have occurred. However, no official confirmation regarding casualties or damage has been issued by the authorities.
In a separate incident on Tuesday, armed men reportedly targeted three mineral transporting heavy vehicles on the Quetta–Taftan highway near the area of Mal. Local sources said the attackers opened fire on the vehicles’ tyres, disabling them before leaving the area.
Armed Attacks and Blast Reported in Mastung
Further incidents were reported in Mastung district, where local sources alleged that armed men targeted Pakistani military personnel in the Spilinji area.
According to regional sources, the attack occurred after security personnel reportedly entered the area to remove flags said to have been erected by Baloch nationalist activists.
Sources claimed that armed men opened fire on soldiers on foot. They further alleged that, following the initial attack, security forces advanced into the area using vehicles and motorcycles, after which an armoured vehicle was struck by an explosive device and destroyed.
There were also unconfirmed reports that motorcycle-borne security personnel may have been caught in the blast.
Pakistani authorities have not commented on the reported incident or provided information regarding casualties or material losses.
Road Blockade and Electricity Towers Targeted in Sibi and Bolan
Additional incidents were reported overnight in Sibi and Bolan districts.
According to local accounts, armed men briefly took control of a section of the main highway near Lamji in Sibi district and stopped vehicles for inspection.
Later, the armed group Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) claimed responsibility for the operation in a statement issued to the media.
The group’s spokesperson, Dostain Baloch, said BRG members had established a temporary checkpoint on the highway linking Quetta with interior Sindh and Punjab. He claimed that four vehicles allegedly transporting supplies were disabled by gunfire after being stopped and searched, while their drivers were released.
The spokesperson also claimed responsibility for an attack on two electricity transmission towers near Dhadar in Bolan district. According to the statement, explosives were used to damage towers carrying electricity from the Uchh Power Plant.
The group said such attacks would continue as part of its campaign.
No Official Confirmation of Casualty Claims
While local sources and armed groups have reported casualties and material losses in several of the incidents, Pakistani authorities have not released official details regarding the extent of damage or any casualties among security personnel.
The incidents come amid ongoing security challenges across Balochistan, where armed attacks, bomb explosions, infrastructure sabotage and security operations continue to be reported.
