Four people have allegedly been forcibly disappeared from Quetta and Dera Bugti, while four people who had previously been subjected to alleged enforced disappearance were recovered in Karachi, Quetta and Hyderabad, according to sources.
According to sources, Majeed Shahwani, son of Ali Akbar, and 17-year-old Abdul Razzaq, son of Kabir Ahmed, were allegedly detained by personnel from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police in Kechi Baig, Quetta, at approximately 9:00 p.m. on 26 August 2026. Both were subsequently forcibly disappeared and remain missing, sources said.
In a separate incident, 40-year-old shopkeeper Saddam Bugti, son of Mehwat Khan, was allegedly detained by Pakistani forces in Dera Bugti at approximately 4:00 p.m. on 29 August 2026 and subsequently forcibly disappeared.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old Mohammad Naseer, son of Abdul Karim, was reportedly detained by CTD personnel from his home in Quetta at approximately 3:00 a.m. on 31 July 2026, after which he was forcibly disappeared and his whereabouts remain unknown.
Meanwhile, four people who had previously reportedly been subjected to enforced disappearances were recovered.
According to reports, Aamir, son of Ahmed, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Takri Village, Maripur, Karachi, on 16 August 2026, was recovered from Maripur on 29 August 2026.
Similarly, Yasir Ali, son of Nasir Ahmed, who was reportedly forcibly disappeared from Quetta on 28 August 2026, was recovered on 30 August 2026.
Younas Baloch, son of Anwar, who was allegedly forcibly disappeared from Haji Shah Ali Village, Sharafi Malir, Karachi, on 29 July 2026, was recovered from Hyderabad, Sindh, on 29 August 2026.
In another case, Niaz, son of Rashid, who was reportedly forcibly disappeared from Haji Shah Ali Village, Sharafi Malir, on 1 August 2026, was recovered from the same area on 29 August 2026.
