At least eight Baloch men have reportedly been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani security forces in a series of raids across Balochistan and the Baloch-majority region of Taunsa in southern Punjab, according to local sources and families of the victims.
In Balochistan’s Kech district, four young men were allegedly detained during a raid in the Mand area. They have been identified as Jasim, son of Yaqoob; Malik, son of Faiz Muhammad; Faisal, son of Bijar; and Raziq, also son of Bijar.
Sources said five men were initially taken into custody during the operation, but one was later released. The remaining four were transferred to an undisclosed location, and their whereabouts remain unknown.
In a separate incident in Gwadar district, Bashir, son of Sabzal, was reportedly abducted by security personnel in the Lanti Daan area of Pasni. His family has called for his immediate release, stating that he was taken without explanation and has not been heard from since.
Meanwhile, in Taunsa, a Baloch region in southern Punjab, three Baloch men were detained during a late-night raid on a local hotel. The missing individuals have been identified as Muhammad Khan Chakarani Buzdar, Jumma Khan Mithwani Buzdar, and Iftikhar Chakarani Buzdar, a student in grade eleven.

Family members said they fear the men may be killed in custody and accused the authorities of carrying out “fake encounters” following arbitrary arrests. “Enforced disappearances have become routine here,” one family member said. “People are later falsely accused and killed without any legal process.”
Separately, the sister of Ghulam Ali Baloch, a student who was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani intelligence personnel in Quetta on 22 June, has issued a public appeal urging authorities to ensure his safe recovery.
In a statement shared with the media, she said the family has not received any information regarding Ghulam Ali’s whereabouts or condition since he was taken from the Jinnah Town area in an early morning raid.

“I am one of those unfortunate sisters whose brother was abducted in broad daylight in front of everyone,” she said. “It has now been many days, and we have no idea where he is or what condition he is in. There is no information and no contact. Our mother is inconsolable. We are living in agony every single day.”
She called on the government, judiciary and human rights organizations to take urgent action. “If there is any accusation against him, he should be presented in court. We seek justice,” she said.
Her statement condemned enforced disappearances as a violation of human rights and human dignity. “To forcibly disappear a human being is not only illegal and immoral, but also an inhumane act. All we want is to have our brother returned to us alive and safe.”
She also appealed to the public to share her brother’s story and help amplify the family’s voice. “Please help us by becoming a voice for Ghulam Ali’s recovery.”
