The Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) has claimed responsibility for a hand grenade attack on the Naseem Nagar police station in Hyderabad last night. The claim was made through a statement issued to the media by the group’s spokesperson, Sodho Sindhi.
In the statement, the spokesperson alleged that the Pakistani “Punjabi state” has devised a plan for the complete occupation of Sindh’s land, natural resources, and the Indus River. He further claimed that the Sindh police are playing a key role in executing this plan, accusing them of facilitating what he described as a campaign of “genocide” against the Sindhi nation.
Sodho Sindhi alleged that the Sindh police have been at the forefront of suppressing Sindh’s national political protest movements. According to the statement, the police have been complicit in violence, arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, and even targeted killings of political activists, acting as agents of the Pakistani military establishment. The recent killing of two Sindhi youths by police in Moro was cited as an example.
The spokesperson specifically pointed to the Hyderabad police, particularly the Naseem Nagar station, accusing them of violently dispersing national protests and sit-ins at Vadhu Wah Bypass. He claimed that police have played a leading role in arrests and enforced disappearances of political workers, aligning themselves with the “Punjabi colonial system.”
Sodho Sindhi declared that the hand grenade attack should be seen as a final warning to all police officers involved in what he called “anti-Sindh activities.” He warned them to cease their cooperation with the state or face further consequences from what he referred to as the “defensive army of Sindh.”
The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of the SRA’s commitment to its armed resistance until what it describes as the complete national liberation of Sindh is achieved.
There has been no official response yet from law enforcement or government authorities regarding the SRA’s claim or the incident.
