Three men from Mastung and Panjgur have reportedly been subjected to enforced disappearance after allegedly being taken into custody by Pakistani security forces, according to local sources and family members.
The individuals have been identified as Zakria, son of Dilmurad; Adil, son of Abdul Rasheed; and Siddiq, son of Rasool Jan.
According to sources, Zakria was detained during a raid on his home in Killi Karez Sar, Mastung, at approximately 2 a.m. on 21 March. Family members say they have received no information regarding his whereabouts since his detention.
In a separate incident, Siddiq, a resident of the Paroom area of Panjgur, was reportedly summoned to a military camp several days ago. Relatives allege that he was taken into custody upon arrival and has not been seen since.
Meanwhile, local sources reported that Adil was detained by Pakistani security forces on Friday morning in the Ligork area of Parom, Panjgur. His whereabouts remain unknown.
The families of the three men have called for their immediate recovery, urging authorities to either produce them before a court of law if any charges exist against them or release them without delay.
Reports of enforced disappearances continue to emerge from Balochistan, where families, human rights organisations and political groups have for years documented cases of individuals allegedly taken into custody by Pakistani forces and subsequently held incommunicado. Pakistani authorities have repeatedly denied involvement in unlawful detentions and maintain that security operations are conducted in accordance with the law.
At the time of publication, no official statement regarding the reported detentions had been issued by the relevant authorities.
