Four personnel, including an officer associated with a company linked to the Pakistan Army, were killed, in an armed attack in Turbat, located in Kech district of Balochistan,
According to reports, armed assailants ambushed a convoy of three vehicles and directly targeted one of them. As a result, FWO officer Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) Arsalan Haleem, a resident of Karachi, along with Naoman Kazmi of Rawalpindi, Mohammad Asif, and Kaleemullah, were killed.
The attack took place on Saturday near Kalatuk, approximately 25 kilometers west of Turbat city.
Sources told TBP that Kaleemullah, who had been critically injured in the attack, succumbed to his wounds this morning.
Regional sources stated that the FWO personnel came under attack while being escorted by members of a government-backed armed group commonly referred to as a “death squad,” who were providing security in two separate vehicles.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
