Reports of enforced disappearances continued to emerge from multiple regions of Balochistan, as four young men were allegedly detained by Pakistani forces in separate incidents in Chagai, Gwadar, Dera Bugti and Quetta, while the body of another previously missing man was recovered in Panjgur.

According to local sources, Nizam Baloch, son of Khuda Rahim and a resident of Harmage in Chagai district, was allegedly detained by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel from Nokundi Bazaar on 28 April 2026 at approximately 3 pm.

Family members stated that Nizam was an educated young man who had been working as a driver due to prolonged unemployment. His relatives said no information regarding his whereabouts has been provided since his detention.

In another reported incident, Pakistani forces allegedly raided a house in the Panwan area of Jiwani, Gwadar district, on the night of 19 May 2026 and detained Mukhtiar Baloch, the younger son of Haji Saleh Baloch.

According to family members, Mukhtiar was taken into custody during the raid and has remained missing since. Local social circles in the area claimed that more than two dozen cases of enforced disappearances involving Baloch youth had been reported over the past month from Jiwani, Panwan and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, in Dera Bugti district, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel allegedly detained a young man identified as Razzaq, son of Shah Mir Bugti, from Bugti Colony Bazaar in Sui tehsil before transferring him to an undisclosed location.

His family stated that although CTD personnel took him into custody, authorities later failed to provide any information regarding his whereabouts.

A separate case was also reported from Quetta, where a 22-year-old student identified as Irfanullah, son of Abdul Jabbar, was allegedly detained during a late-night raid in the Killi Habib Faizabad area along Sariab Road.

According to reports, CTD personnel raided the family home at around 3 am on 6 May 2026 and took Irfanullah into custody. His family says he has remained missing since the raid.

Separately, the body of a previously missing man was recovered from the Parom area of Kallag Kaor in Panjgur district. The deceased was identified as Mohsin, son of Muslim.

Local sources stated that Mohsin had allegedly been detained by Pakistani forces on 16 March 2026 along with his two relatives, Abdul Ahad and Yahya, before being subjected to enforced disappearance.

Family members and local residents alleged that Mohsin was killed while in custody.

Cases of enforced disappearances and the recovery of bodies of previously missing persons have continued to be reported from various parts of Balochistan over recent years. Nationalist organisations, human rights groups and affected families have repeatedly called on authorities to produce missing persons before courts to halt extrajudicial actions.
