The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks carried out across several regions of Balochistan, including Kech, Khuzdar, Awaran, Chagai and Barkhan districts, stating that 15 Pakistani security personnel and one alleged state-backed armed associate were killed in the operations.
In a statement issued to the media on Tuesday, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the group’s armed members conducted eight separate operations between 13 and 19 May 2026 targeting Pakistani armed forces, police infrastructure, vehicles transporting minerals and individuals accused by the group of collaborating with state institutions, so-called “death squad” members.
According to the statement, on 19 May BLF fighters attacked Frontier Corps (FC) personnel positioned near Kargait Dakk in the Gobard area of Mand, Kech district. The group claimed that two FC personnel were killed and two others injured during the exchange of fire.
The BLF further stated that its fighters carried out an ambush on a convoy of Pakistani armed forces in the Minaz area of Buleda on the same day. The group alleged that three soldiers were killed and two injured in the attack, while military vehicles sustained damage.
In another incident in the Wair area of Wadh, Khuzdar district, the group said its members targeted two trucks transporting stone extracted from the region. According to the statement, the vehicles’ tyres were shot out before the drivers were released after being warned against participating in the transportation of what the group described as “national resources”.
The organisation also warned transporters, contractors and drivers against facilitating the movement of minerals and other resources in coordination with Pakistani forces or companies operating in the region.
Referring to an earlier operation on 18 May, the BLF claimed that its fighters ambushed a convoy of Pakistani armed forces in the Shariki area of Mashkay, Awaran district. The group alleged that seven soldiers were killed and several others injured during the attack.
The statement further claimed that an additional military unit arriving as reinforcement also came under attack, resulting in further casualties. The group additionally alleged that its fighters shot down a quadcopter drone reportedly used during the operation.
In a separate attack in Kolwah, the BLF stated that its fighters targeted another convoy of Pakistani armed forces travelling between Hotan and Mara Sham. The group claimed that three soldiers, identified as Adnan, Arif Ali and Iftikhar Ahmad, were killed while two others were injured.
According to the statement, BLF fighters also established a temporary road blockade on 18 May along the main highway in the Pedag area of Chagai district, where vehicles were reportedly stopped and searched for several hours.
The group further claimed that another unit attacked and temporarily took control of the Wadh police station, where official records, machinery and infrastructure were allegedly set on fire before the BLF fighters withdrew from the area.
In Barkhan district, the BLF stated that its members set fire to a Ufone mobile tower installed in the Kandi area of Rakhni on 17 May. The group alleged that the tower contained surveillance equipment used by Pakistani intelligence agencies to monitor local populations.
Separately, the BLF claimed responsibility for the killing of a man identified as Rashid, son of Rasheed, in the Minaz area of Buleda on 13 May. The organisation accused him of involvement with what it described as a “state-backed death squad” operating against the Baloch national movement.
The statement alleged that Rashid was associated with a “death squad” led by an individual identified as Sarwar Qureshi and had assisted Pakistani forces during military operations in the region. Another individual identified as Ismail, son of Safar, was reportedly injured during the incident.
Pakistani authorities have not yet issued an official response regarding the claims made in the BLF statement.
