A cultural and political programme honouring late Baloch activist Banuk Karima and the political struggles of Baloch women was held in Berlin on Sunday, organised by the Yaagi Art Collective.
The event featured Balochi theatre, Balochi Dochapi and a political discussion attended by members of the Baloch diaspora, German activists and participants from other countries.
The theatre performance portrayed the political roles and activism of Banuk Karima, Dr Mahrang Baloch and Sammi Deen Baloch.
A political discussion on Banuk Karima’s struggle followed the performance, with participants addressing a range of issues and responding to questions from the audience.
Banuk Karima was a prominent Baloch political activist and the first woman to chair the Baloch Students Organization-Azad. She died in Toronto in 2020.
