The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) on Thursday claimed responsibility for an attack that damaged machinery at a road construction site near Pat Feeder Peropol in Dera Murad Jamali, while police said no casualties were reported.
Police officials said unidentified attackers fired rockets at the site, destroying machinery and forcing work to stop. They added that an investigation was under way.
In a media statement, the BRG said its fighters targeted what it described as a “military company” working on government construction projects in the area, claiming the company’s machines were “completely destroyed”.
The group warned local contractors to stay away from what it called state projects and said it would continue such attacks “until the freedom of Balochistan”.
