Reports of enforced disappearances and subsequent releases have emerged from Balochistan, alongside concerns raised by a rights group over the deaths of three men who had previously been reported missing.
According to local sources, two men were reportedly taken into custody Pakistani paramilitary forces and subsequently disappeared on 8 April 2026 in the Surab district. Najeeb Ashraf, 20, a student from the Marap area, and Allah Bakhsh, 30, a labourer originally from Rodeni and residing in Nasirabad, were allegedly detained by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel at around 3 pm on the main RCD Road. Their whereabouts remain unknown.
In a separate development, two individuals from the Garmkan area of Panjgur, Ashfaq Baloch, son of Asadullah, and Dil Jan Baloch, son of Dur Muhammad, have reportedly been released after approximately four months in detention. According to sources, both men had been taken into custody on 5 January 2026 and were released on 9 April in the Chitkan area of Panjgur.
Meanwhile, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has expressed concern over what it described as a pattern of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan.

In a statement, the group said that Muslim Dad, son of Malang Dad, and Sadiq Noor, son of Noorullah, both residents of Buleda, had been taken into custody on 7 September 2025 by personnel identified as belonging to the Frontier Corps and Military Intelligence. According to the group, their bodies were recovered on 10 April 2026 in Kech district after several months of disappearance.

The BYC also reported the case of Qambar Baloch, son of Khuda Bakhsh, a student from Buleda, who was allegedly detained on 7 October 2025 and later found dead on 8 April 2026 in the D Baloch area. The organisation claimed that his body bore multiple gunshot wounds and signs of physical toture.
The group described these incidents as part of a broader pattern of enforced disappearances and unlawful killings, and called for accountability and adherence to legal procedures. It also urged international human rights organisations to take notice of the situation.
Pakistani authorities have not commented on these incidents.
