The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for two attacks targeting Pakistani security forces in the Turbat and Panjgur areas of Balochistan.
In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said that on 2 March 2026, BLF fighters targeted a convoy of Pakistani forces consisting of two vehicles and motorcycles in the Absar area of Turbat. According to the statement, the attack was carried out using an improvised explosive device (IED) as the convoy was passing through the Kohda Yousaf locality.
The spokesperson claimed that the remote-controlled bomb destroyed one military vehicle, resulting in the deaths of three security personnel and leaving two others seriously injured.
He further alleged that following the explosion, security forces opened indiscriminate fire in the area and harassed civilians.
The BLF spokesperson also said that in a separate incident on 3 March 2026, BLF fighters targeted intelligence offices inside the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Chitkan, Panjgur, firing nine grenade-launcher rounds at the facility. The group claimed the attack caused significant casualties and damage.
The BLF said it accepts responsibility for both the IED attack on the military convoy in Absar, Turbat, and the grenade-launcher attack on an intelligence office inside the FC headquarters in Chitkan, Panjgur.
There was no immediate comment from Pakistani authorities regarding the claims.
