A curfew has been reportedly imposed by the Pakistani military in the Zehri area of Khuzdar district in Balochistan, resulting in the closure of markets, businesses, public transport, and all movement in the area. The restrictions have confined thousands of residents to their homes and significantly disrupted daily life.

According to local sources, the curfew has led to a severe shortage of essential food items. Access to daily necessities such as flour, milk, vegetables, and medicines has become limited, causing particular hardship for daily wage workers who rely on regular employment for income. The closure of businesses has also disrupted the local economy, leaving many residents struggling to obtain basic necessities.

Residents have appealed to the government to ease the curfew on humanitarian grounds, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, so that people can at least meet their basic needs and move more freely.

Local residents also said that patients are facing difficulties reaching hospitals due to the movement restrictions.

It is worth noting that a month-long curfew had previously been imposed in Zehri, during which drone strikes reportedly caused casualties and property damage, creating an atmosphere of fear in the area.

Meanwhile, a curfew remains in effect in Noshki as well, where residents are also continuing to face significant difficulties due to the ongoing restrictions.
