Two people have been injured in a landmine explosion in Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district, local officials said on Thursday.
According to Levies officials, the blast took place in the Lanjoo Safari Chakrani area of Sui, when a motorcycle struck a landmine planted underground by unidentified individuals.
The explosion left two men, identified as Aftab and Kobri Bugti, seriously injured. Their motorcycle was completely destroyed in the blast.
Security forces and Levies personnel arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital in Sui for medical treatment.
Authorities said an investigation had been launched to determine those responsible for planting the explosive device.
