Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Manzoor Pashteen has stated that a Pakistani airstrike on the Pir Mela Bazaar in the Zakka Khel area of Tirah Valley has injured dozens of civilians, including young children.
He mentioned that the injured have been transported to Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar.
He further added that after the continuous failure to enforce military policies in Pashtun areas, the state has now started attacking public places.
Pashteen declared, “No matter how much force you use, we will not allow dollar-driven wars to take place on Pashtun soil.”
Meanwhile, in a statement issued on X, by the Pashtun National Jirga, it was reported that 12 children and 13 adults were injured in a military drone strike in Tirah. However, security forces in Khyber have claimed that they targeted and injured Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants.
The Pashtun National Jirga statement emphasized that the truth is that the images do not show armed Taliban but children, and these children were injured in their homes, indicating that the bombing occurred in residential and civilian areas.
It said that Manzoor Pashteen and other Pashtun leaders understand this game, which is why they have called on both parties to stop their fake war, saying, “Pashtuns are being killed in your war, so both sides should leave our land, allowing peace to prevail here.”
