The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), an advocacy group, has reported the safe return of two individuals who had been missing in Balochistan.

The VBMP identified the two individuals as Usman s/o Razzo and Wahid Baksh s/o Deen Muhammad, who were allegedly abducted from Sui, Dera Bugti, in July and September, respectively.

Their return, however, is overshadowed by the abduction of two other men from the Gharibabad area of Nushki. Sarwar Jamaldini s/o Abdullah and Peer Jan s/o Khair Muhammad, both businessmen in the petroleum sector, were last seen in Dalbandin. They have been missing for over a week, and concerns are growing over their safety.

Missing Sarwar Jamaldini and Peer Jan

The pattern of disappearances in the region is not new. Sarwar Jamaldini’s uncle, Aamir Jamaldini, was also a victim of enforced disappearance in 2014. After being held in captivity for four months, he was found dead, his body showing signs of severe torture.

Jamaldini’s other family members have faced similar fates, being detained for extended periods before being released. These incidents have caused widespread fear and anxiety among the local population.

The families of the recently abducted men have condemned these acts as grave injustices. They are calling on human rights groups and activists to take notice of the situation and to support their demand for the safe return of their loved ones.
