In a series of coordinated attacks in different locations across Balochistan, armed men targeted security forces and infrastructure, resulting in casualties and damage. The incidents took place in the regions of Bolan, Kech and Gwadar.

In the Siraaj Abad area of Bolan, armed individuals launched an assault on a Pakistani forces’ checkpoint, causing significant damage. Two other attacks occurred at the location of the Pinjra Pul area, targeting a residence of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) and a telecommunications tower.

Reports indicate that these attacks inflicted casualties on the security forces, although the exact extent of the damage is yet to be disclosed by the authorities. Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Gwadar, along the coastal city’s outskirts, Pakistani forces came under attack, resulting in casualties among personnel.

Major Gohram Baloch, spokesperson for the Balochistan Liberation Front, or BLF claimed responsibility for the attacks in two separate media statements, stating that their fighters targeted “occupying enemy” forces, construction companies, and mobile phone towers, inflicting both human and financial losses upon them.

He further detailed that the attacks included assaults on Pakistani forces’ security checkpoints in Mand Baloch Abad area of Kech, resulting in the death of two “enemy” soldiers. Additionally, rocket launchers and other sophisticated weaponry were employed to target a camp and checkpoint established by the enemy forces along the main highway in Siraaj Abad late Tuesday night, causing casualties and damage.

Moreover, Baloch confirmed attacks on construction companies and their machinery situated at the Pinjra Pul area, warning them to refrain from cooperating with the “occupying” forces, or else face dire consequences.

Mjr Baloch added that their struggle for the liberation of Balochistan and its resources will continue, with “occupying” forces and their interests remaining prime targets.

Meanwhile, government authorities have verified the Gwadar attack, confirming casualties of two security forces’ personnel. Police sources revealed that the assailants launched the attacks when the Pakistan armed forces were en route to their respective checkpoints.

In its second press release to the media, BLF spokesperson claimed to have killed seven Pakistan army personnel and injured one in Gwadar attack.

The situation remains tense as security forces have been placed on high alert in the wake of these attacks, while investigations are underway to apprehend those responsible. The actions of Baloch pro-independence armed groups highlight the ongoing insurgency and challenges faced by Pakistani forces in Balochistan.
