Former National Assembly member and Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf leader Jamshed Dasti has made serious allegations against Pakistan’s security forces. In a video message released early Monday, Jamshed Dasti claimed that personnel from intelligence agencies and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a distressing raid on his residence in Muzaffargarh.

The incident, which Dasti reported took place in Zafar Colony, Jhang Road, involved conduct he described as “deeply inappropriate” toward his family. “They stripped my wife and hit my children,” he stated, adding that the incident involved multiple vehicles and extended over several hours.

Addressed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and recorded at approximately 3:45 AM on Monday, Jamshed Dasti’s message detailed the significant emotional impact of the raid on his family, including a ten-month-old child. He reported the confiscation of mobile phones, the destruction of cameras, and alleged similar raids at the homes of his colleagues.

Having been elected to the National Assembly four times, Jamshed Dasti expressed profound distress over the raid. He perceives it as indicative of a larger pattern of misconduct by the CTD and intelligence agencies. He called for solidarity and response from his community and political allies against what he regards as escalating injustice.

These allegations, if substantiated, could raise significant questions about the conduct and practices of law enforcement and intelligence agencies in Pakistan, particularly concerning their interaction with political figures and civilians.
