The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for attacks against the Pakistani security forces in Balochistan’s Awaran and Kech districts.
In a media statement, Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLA, said that their fighters carried out two separate attacks targeting the security forces.
The first, in Jhao, Awaran, allegedly took place earlier on Friday. BLA fighters targeted a Pakistani military camp with sniper fire, which was immediately followed by a heavy weapons assault. This attack reportedly resulted in one soldier being killed and at least two others injured.
The second attack, according to the statement, took place on Friday evening in the Gorkop area of Kech. BLA fighters launched an assault using grenades on a Pakistani security forces’ camp. This resulted in injuries to at least two military personnel and considerable material damage.
The BLA’s statement concludes with a reiteration of their objective to continue their attacks until what they describe as “Pakistani occupying forces” leave Balochistan.
