In Quetta, Balochistan’s capital, unidentified assailants targeted a police vehicle.

According to the police, the incident took place in the suburban Kuchlak area. The attackers reportedly opened fire the patrolling police vehicle before hurling a grenade at them. The attack resulted in injuries to one police official, who was promptly transported to Civil Hospital for medical treatment.

The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) later claimed responsibility for the attack. In a statement, the TTP’s spokesperson, Muhammad Khorasani, detailed the incident.
