A young Baloch girl named Manahil Ali Baksh from the Ruzhn Institute recorded a heartfelt review of the popular book “Forty Rules of Love,” capturing the attention of its Turkish author, Elif Shafak.

Her heart-warming review quickly went viral on social media and eventually caught the eye of Elif Shafak.

The book “Forty Rules of Love” was published in March 2009. It is about Maulana Jalal-Ud-Din, known as Rumi and his companion Shams Tabrizi. This book explains how Shams transformed a scholar into a Sufi (mystic) through love. It has been translated into 55 languages and has sold millions of copies worlwide.

Touched by the girl’s words, the author shared a video of Manahil on her Instagram, expressing her gratitude and saying, “Ah, my heart, precious Manahil! Thank you for your beautiful book review.”

Notably, Elif Shafak is an internationally acclaimed novelist and author. Her work has found a significant appeal among young readers like Minahil.

Meanwhile, teachers from the Ruzhn Institute reveal they’ve been running the institute for eight years without basic necessities, including proper infrastructure and salaries. They also noted that the appreciation and acknowledgment from a prominent international writer like Elif Shafak mean more to them than praise and wealth from Europe.
